A young woman of about 42 years ( name withheld) from Onitsha town has complained bitterly that her husband rejected her after eight years of their marriage.
Our source said that the woman who has a baby girl for her husband said that her husband woke up one morning this year and pursued her out of the house.
An eye witness told Emerald News that the woman also complained that she discovered immediately after their marriage that her husband did not come with any of his family to marry her.
Our source said that the woman did not know that the people that accompanied her husband to her payment of dowry were his friends.
Emerald News gathered that when the rejected woman asked her husband what she did to him that brought about sudden rejection, her husband only told her to go and sort herself out as she is suspected to be possessed with evil spirit.
Our source said that the woman who left with her baby girl has been calling to beg her husband to accept her back, but all to no avail.
Emerald News gathered that the woman felt wounded for receiving such a bad treatment from her husband.
An witness said that the rejected wife has worked too hard for her marriage to work even when her husband deceived her by coming to pay her bride price with his friends only.
Emerald News gathered that the family of the woman got angry and told her that she should shun her husband and face her life, claiming that after all, her husband is yet to complete her marriage obligation.
