A successful business man, Mr. Matthew Ohira, has said that he did not  train his first son, Joshua Ohira, to the higher institution level because of his safety.

Mr. Ohira, who is into timber business in Makurdi, the capital city of Benue state, told Emerald News that his second wife threatened that if he made any attempt to train his son who was given birth to him by his late wife in the university, that there will be no peace in the house.

He lamented that he abandoned his first son in his education pursuit so that his wife would not kill him.

Emerald News gathered that in a bid to maintain peace and tranquility, Mr. Ohira whose first son made his WAEC papers four years ago told him to look for a menial job in the street so that his step mother will not attack him.

According to him, since his first wife (Joshua’s mother) died while giving birth to her third baby, life has been very unpleasant to him and his children.

Mr. Ohira, who regretted ever marrying a second wife, complained that his goal was defeated as the woman whom he married to look after his three tender children turned out to be his  children’s enemy.

He said that his son was told by his step mother that his father will not waste his resources to train him and his siblings as she would be ready to set their house on fire should her husband think otherwise.

According to him, his second wife who has two children for him always wanted him to treat her own children better than   her step children.

This meduim gathered that while Joshua, the first son has been loitering the street of Makurdi looking for a casual work, Mr. Ohira’ s wife was busy making plans to give her two children in secondary school quality education to the university level.

Mr. Ohira, who described his first son as a brilliant child, said he preferred him to be alive as he does not want his wife to attack him and his siblings.

He prayed that God will send a helper to his first son and siblings.
