The member representing Warri South West State Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Guwor Emomotimi Dennis has won his seat to return to the house as a second term member.
The election was conducted on the 18th of March through 19th of March 2023 and he was declared winner of the election on the 20th of March 2023 at the INEC secretariat, Ogbe-Ijoh, Warri South West Local Government Headquarters.
He was declared winner by the Returning Officer Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Dr. Nelson Nenuwe (Senior Lecturer, Federal University of Petroleum Resources), Effurun, Delta state.
He was declared winner having scored the highest votes in the contest. He scored 7,932 votes defeating his closest opponent, Deacon Tekedor Pinasine Clement of the All Progressive Congress (APC) who polled 3,016 votes of the total valid votes cast.
Immediately after the announcement of results, the environment was agog as the constituents rejoiced, a development which showed that it’s been a long-awaited victory for the member seeing his massive impacts in the local government since his emergence as the member representing the constituency in the state house of assembly in 2019
