Orji Uzor Kalu, the Senate Chief Whip, cancelled all his official engagements that where initially scheduled to hold on Tuesday, in honour of Davido’s son, Ifeanyi.
The 3 years old Ifeanyi drowned on Monday, in his father’s Banana Island home, when the musician and his fiancé Chioma Rowland were away for an event.
Ifeanyi’s tragic death attracted sympathisers from different demographics, sending condolences to Davido and his lover, Chioma, who had plans to tie the knot in 2023.
As reported by Daily Post, all domestic staff in Davido’s house were picked up by Lagos State Police, for interrogation.
Uzor Kalu was among the high profilists who took to their social media handles to express their shock and also send their condolences.
In Kalu’s official Facebook account, he wrote, “Dear David/Chioma, I am sober, I am deeply saddened by the loss of your son, Ifeanyi. I have cancelled my official engagements today to mourn him quietly.
“Ifeanyi will be missed by everyone. May the Creator accept our prayers on his behalf. “
