Former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan has condemned what he described as growing political influence by governors and other leaders from outside a state during off-cycle elections.
Jonathan made the remarks on Tuesday while reacting to the outcome of the recently concluded Osun State governorship election.
He said the alleged involvement of political leaders in influencing elections outside their states was a troubling trend that deserved national attention.
Jonathan specifically criticised the influence attributed to Senate President Godswill Akpabio and APC governors during the Osun election.
