RE: I WILL BE PART OF THE SOLIDARITY MATCH

MY OPEN LETTER TO MY DEAR BROTHER AND STRONG COMRADE RT. HON. TONYE EMMANUEL ISENAH

Good morning, and best wishes, my dear brother and strong comrade, Rt. Hon. Tonye Emmanuel Isenah.

Since yesterday evening, I have received countless phone calls and messages regarding the proposed protest march against Azikel Group and its group president, Dr. Eruani Azibapu CFR.

I never believed the above information until I saw notification about the protest that you tagged a Solidarity March on your verified Facebook page.

As an outstanding leader and one of the worthy Ambassadors and kings of young people because of your philanthropic gesture, I expected you to hear from both sides of the matter before jumping to conclusion and even taking sides.

Great leaders de-escalate situations. They use their advantaged positions to proffer solutions and not to escalate situations.

It is common knowledge that the deliberate vilification and demonization of Azikel Group and it’s group president, Dr. Eruani Azibapu CFR is a continuation of grand conspiracies against a certain section of the state for obvious reasons only known to the aggressors.

When situations arise, it is pertinent for leaders to tackle issues from a holistic point of view and not to resort to parochial and primordial sentiments that are not only divisive but also destructive.

While I sympathize with the situation of Kariyai Daukoru and Ebilatei Amabebe who are two young, highly resourceful and very promising Bayelsans who have slight delay in their training preparatory for their career advancement in the aviation industry, it is sacrosanct to be circumspect in our approach to the prevalent issues.

Dr. Eruani Azibapu CFR, until this very moment, had very good intention. As a renowned philanthropist, records about his benevolence and goodwill are in public domain, and no amount of blackmail or campaign of calumny can water down his good works.

Out of hard work, commitment, and resilience, Dr. Eruani Azibapu CFR was able to build a global brand that is worth billions of dollars that are revered and celebrated beyond the shores of this great country.

Dr. Eruani Azibapu CFR, in his usual characteristics, decided to give back to society by offering sponsorship to train groups of young Bayelsans as pilots. He was never under any obligation, but out of his personal volition.

When this issue came to the media, I was one of the persons who strongly condemned the remand of Kariyai Daukoru at Kuje Correctional Centre. I did not do so because he is right or innocent. I did so because i believe the contentious issues can be resolved out of court.

Again, it is pertinent to note that Kariyai Daukoru, who voluntarily resigned from his assignment and duties, is the one that first sued Dr. Eruani Azibapu CFR. He is claiming One Billion Naira (#1,000,000,000.00) damage over a goodwill.

Not satisfied with the ongoing court case he instituted against his benefactor and destiny helper, he resorted to blackmailing, maligning, and defaming Dr. Eruani and Azikel Group on different social media and conventional media platforms.

The endless threats by Kariyai Daukoru and his cohorts to bring down Azikel Group and also bring Dr. Eruani Azibapu CFR to his knees shows that there are very highly placed, powerful forces behind these young men.

But my worry and question is that, where were these powerful forces when these young men needed help most?

The young men described the scholarship as a fake scheme even when there are several evidences of correspondence between Azikel Group and aviation academy in the United States of America since 2025 about their admission.

So far, it has become obvious it is no longer delay about training or breach of contract. Rather, it is now a full-blown war targeted at destroying Azikel Group and Dr. Eruani Azibapu CFR, which i believe shall end as exercise in futility.

Again, no matter the situation, I do not expect you, Rt. Hon. Tonye Emmanuel Isenah who is also an entrepreneur and a very highly productive Bayelsan to be part of such shameful and misguided grand conspiracies.

There are few instances, where young people have tried to mess up your hard earned image, integrity and dignity including the last one that had to do with securing of event venue or thereabout, we worked round the clock to arrest the situation.

As a leader, you should understand that protest and counter-protest will not solve the prevalent problem.

You should also know the negative consequences of inciteful statement by a leader of your standing. The Rwanda Genocide and the recent Xenophobic attacks against Africans in South Africa are examples of the negative consequences of incitement and instigating actions by leaders.

The victim in this whole issue, Dr. Eruani Azibapu CFR, whose good will and philanthropic gesture has now made him an aggressor, is not an orphan. He has touched the lives of multitudes of people who see him as their destiny helper. There is absolutely no way such persons will sit and watch how their God-sent messiah is rubbished, vilified, or demonized.

I therefore urge you to have a rethink even as we work round the clock to seeking an amicable resolution to this subject matter.

I wish you a pleasant and a memorable weekend.

Your friend and brother,

Comrade Wisdom Oniekpar Ikuli
