Many believe that men are polygamous in nature but for one to claim that it is a sin for a man to marry only one wife is something to worry about.
A man who identified himself as Elder Gilbert Dede was bold to say that men who marry only one wife are sinners who need repentance.
While chatting with Emerald News in his shop in Asaba, Delta state, Elder Dede said he married many wives because he has the passion of loving and caring for many women and children.
He said that he was against men who claim that marrying one wife is the ideal thing for Christians, adding that those men are stingy and wicked.
According to him, when a man considers to have as many wives as he can, he will also have many children to also take care of.
Elder Dede told this meduim that if men continue to marry only one wife, who will marry all the women that are scattered all over waiting for men to marry them.
” Why I said that men who maintain monogamy are sinners is because they don’t have the interest of many unmarried women at heart. If you claim you are a good Christian, you should be generous with your resources so that many will benefit from it”, he added.
Elder Dede noted that likewise if a man marries many wives without taking care of all of them equally is a sin but they become wonderful and righteous if they marry many wives and as well take proper care of them and their children.
According to him, marrying many wives and taking care of them and their children is a way of giving which we are commanded to do.
He however rated men with one wife as stingy ones who should repent from their sins.
