The Senatorial candidate for Delta North, Rt. Hon. Victor Ochei, on Wednesday was joined by other candidates as the party flagged off the 2027 election campaign in Agbor, Ika South local government area of Delta state.

The flag off marks the beginning of the campaigns for the 2027 elections. Ochei, leading the frontline in Delta North is set to disrupt the old order and re-ignite a new future for the senatorial district.

The flag off drew other National Assembly candidates, party leaders, stakeholders and residents of Ika Federal Constituency into a focused display of organisation and solidarity.

Others at the campaign were Engr. Emmanuel Leonard Nwachukwu (Bawo), NDC candidate for the House of Representatives, Ika federal constituency; Mrs. Ogor Tony-Obuh, candidate for Ika South State Constituency; Engr. Sylvester Chukwuedo, candidate for Ika North-East Constituency 1; and Engr. Emmanuel Ebite, candidate for Ika North-East Constituency 2.

Addressing the gathering, Rt. Hon. (Engr.) Victor O. Ochei, Esq., NDC candidate for Delta North Senatorial District, called for a new direction and urged the people to remain resolute.

He spoke to the vision of the party’s presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, and recalled the strong support Obi received in Ika in 2023, insisting that 2027 must be about people, ideas, engagement and collective responsibility.

The candidates presented themselves as one ticket. Bawo pledged effective representation for the entire federal constituency. Mrs. Tony-Obuh restated her focus on skills, jobs and a functioning local economy in Ika South.

Chukwuedo and Ebite joined the call for unity and mobilisation as the campaign moves into the wards of Ika North-East Constituencies 1 and 2.

The Agbor flag-off now gives way to organised work across communities, markets, youth groups and women’s associations.

The candidates must remain accessible, the issues must remain central, and the people must remain at the heart of the campaign. Ika is moving. Ika is ready.
