The ground breaking ceremony for the establishment of a power transmission, tower manufacturing, testing, industrial fabrication and hot dip galvanization plant, training and research facility was held with the governor and officials of Delfrasco Industries Ltd in Issele Uku, headquarters of Aniocha North on Thursday.
The establishment which, according to Mr. Paul Unah, Chairman of Delta State Investment Development Agency (DIDA) is to cost not less than 40 million dollars, is expected to create jobs and drive revenue for the people of the Issele Uku, the host community and the state in general.
Sir. Honnah, who was part of the event on Thursday, told Emerald News that at completion and even during the construction of the project, a lot of jobs will be created and revenue for the teeming youths and the people of the state.
According to him, Governor Okowa, by entering into partnership with Delfrasco industries Ltd, has opened the state for the inflow of investors who will establish industries that will create abundant opportunities for the unemployed and even the under-employed in the state.
Honnah, who commended the governor for the great strides he has carried out in the state for the past six years in areas of road construction, schools, technical education, health development among others, said the partnership between the state government and Delfrasco will be another opportunity to industrialise the state and make it a hub of investment in Nigeria.
Honnah said Governor Okowa is a foresighted leader who will leave an unbeatable legacy behind at the expiration of his eight years administration in 2023. He said Okowa has done well for the state, especially in developing and beautifying cities and towns across the three senatorial districts.
“This partnership the governor entered with Delfrasco Industries is another milestone in opening Delta state for great investment. With the prototype of the environment, you can tell what we are expecting within the next 15 months in Delta state. This is a laudable initiative of the governor and we are grateful for that,” Honnah told Emerald News on Thursday.
