WE CAME IN , FIVE MINUTES LATE
We are fine and in safe environment . I sincerely wish to thank everyone for the show of solidarity , care and affection thus far . It all happened like the ray of light . I received a call from my engineer to pick up cash at the house.
I needed someone to accompany me there since I was with Comrade Bayo Eyube  SA to the Governor of Delta State on Youth Mobilization and former Acting President of UPU Youthwing . i requested he follow me  but  he rightly told me NO  that he did not feel like going with me.
The calls from my engineer kept coming and coming hence I decided to go myself since the call was from someone I trust and a close ally. Several times,  I got to my car but something kept distracting me from driving.
Few minutes later, a call came through.  All I heard was gunshots . I quickly called Comrade Bayo Eyube and the Abraka DPO who was presently with me as well and we headed straight to my house. Arriving the scene , it was a shadow of itself, as blood flowed like tap water.  Entrance door was shot. Security dog was murdered .
The police helped in rescuing the victim to an undisclosed  hospital .it was a mixed feeling for us as we questioned who might be behind this attack and for what reasons.
I do not want to speak further on this senseless attack, second in two months. I have decided to leave the Investigation job for the Nigeria police to handle it  and come up with fact behind the continuously attack.
I have since taken time to read all your advice and comments and I promise I will act on the useful ones as I continue to seek the face of God to determine my next move.  It is an abberation  and the height of insult  for any youth to surmon the courage to fire a shot into my compound let alone shooting at someone directly and killing a living thing he can’t create.  THE MESSAGE WAS RUDELY SENT . This is indeed their last strike !
I appeal to the youths to remain calm and law abiding and vigilant. Please don’t take laws into your hands. I appreciate those who came  around to watch over my apartment all through the night . You guys were indeed patriotic !
Special thanks to the Executive of Urhobo Progress Union UPU worldwide led by my father Chief Joe Omene  and my executive , social media friends , family members , leadership of CONFAB ,NIDSUG Presidency , Comrade Community ,  security agencies  and leaders in general . The show of love was massive . Our God was active !
Indeed , we arrived five minute late .
Thanks and God bless you all , don’t forget to always pray for us .
Activist Kelly Efemena Umukoro President UPU Youthwing Worldwide and Member Rep NYCN State Community Policing Committee  ( SCPC )
