Special Assistant to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on media, Ossai Ovie Success, has narrated his evening encounter with Prince Ned Nwoko, the Delta North senator-elect, alongside other media practitioners.

In Ossai’s facebook post, dated 11 March, 2023, he said that, their visitation to Nwoko’s country home, Mount Ned, offered them the opportunity to unlearn, learn and relearn.

According to Ossai, Nwoko, whom during the campaign rallies promised not to make distinction between political parties when elected, reaffirmed his promise. Maintaining that he would work with other senators above party interests.

Ossai’s post read in parts:

“So, yesterday evening, myself and other media practitioners visited Delta North Senator Elect at his country home at Idumuje Ugboko.

“Upon our arrival , together with Prince Ned we climbed the over 100 feet tower with heart palpitations.

“Prince Ned who spent hours with us said the tower stands on the mountain peak at one thousand, one hundred feet above sea level.

“As a senator elect, Ned said his promises during the electioneering campaign will not be abandoned as he will be working with other Senators above party interest.

“Ned promised to offer effective representation to the people of Anioma by protecting their best interests at the senate.

“He advised us not to get involved with Fornication (Premarital Sex) and Adultery.

“Prince Ned said will be sponsoring bills that will help the common man and also enable young people to get married on time which will end up reducing prostitution.

“We exchanged questions and answers during our conversations which enables us to learn, unlearn and relearn.

“He also took time to share his experience at Antarctica and how he mounted the Nigerian Flag at the South Pole .

“He said he made the journey in January 2020 to the frozen climes of Antarctica, where he went to draw international attention to the malaria scourge in Africa.

“As at today , he is the first black African to make that journey, and succeeding in installing Nigeria as the 13th country in the world to have placed its flag on that ice peak.

“During the visit, we talked about the People’s Democratic Party Rt Hon Sheriff Oborevwori MORE Agenda. M: Meaningful Development.
O : Opportunities for All
R : Realistic reforms.
E :Enhanced Peace and Reforms.

“He urged Deltans to vote for PDP through Sheriff noting that there is no better candidate that Sheriff .

“I must confess we enjoyed ourselves with the fortress of nature deliberately built to encourage rest and recreation.

“We saw the sports university that has gotten National University Commission (NUC) approval and it’s the first of its kind in Nigeria.

“Prince Ned with heart of humility also took out time to personally serve us drinks.

“He hosted us with sophisticated Hospitality.”
