Staff of Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta state have been assured that payment of the new minimum wage would commence in November.
The chairman of Isoko South council, Friday Ovoke Warri who gave the assurance at the Chapel of Light in Oleh, where he was presented an award of excellence in art by staff members during his 100-day thanksgiving service.
Presenting the award on behalf of staff, Mrs. Ethel Eghaire, who described the council chairman as a resolute leader dedicated to achieving outstanding results with quiet determination, commended him even as she expressed her wishes for continued empowerment to facilitate further developmental accomplishments that will be benefiting to the Isoko South.
Receiving the award, the council chairman, Friday Ovoke Warri expressed gratitude to members of staff for their sustained support for his numerous achievements in his first 100 days in office and urged them to continue to be united and work in harmony and collaborate to achieve his administration’s objectives in line with the governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s MORE agenda for the people.
The thanksgiving service was extraordinary and spiritually electrified by the presence of notable distinguished gospel ministers, Evangelists Solo Kings, George Eriega, Minister Fortune and Minister Igho Oziwele, among others.
The 100-day thanksgiving event was attended by the council vice chairman, Theresa Oghale Ikrike, Friday Olokor, leader of Isoko South legislative arm, Osuofa Aziakpono, Council Secretary, Victor Ekelega, Isoko South PDP chairman, Mrs Iroro Ofrogbo, HPM, Emakpor Odogwu, councillors.
