Saturday, May 29, 2021 the Delta state government will be celebrating 6th anniversary of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s administration. The venue for the event is the Stephen Keshi Stadium.

It is expected to host a large crowd of people drawn from.all parts of the state. It is the second to the last celebration of the governor before he leaves office in 2023. 2022 will be the last celebration of the governor as he will be handing over to a new government on May 29, 2023.

In view of the 2021 celebration and with Stephen Keshi Stadium being the venue, some roads in Delta have been billed for closure with security mounted on strategic positions under strict instructions.

The roads will be closed due to traffic. The roads according to chairman of event organising committee, Patrick Ukah, include entrance to Nnebisi Road from SLOT, Studio 24 Road, Ebenuwa Street, MFM Road, behind stadium, and Tom Halim Street.

Others are entrance to Nnebisi Road from Gallant Chi Chi Drive, Nwokobia Street, Nwabueze Lane and Austin Iyeh Lane all around AGGS area.

Mr. Ukah stated that the closure of the roads is to allow for a hitch free ceremony as very important dignitaries are expected to attend the event, adding that all COVID-19 protocols will be strictly adhered to during the ceremony.
