The Special Adviser to the Bayelsa State Governor on Political Matters, High Chief Collins Corcordia has described as unacceptable the Muslim-Muslim Presidential ticket of the All Progressive Congress (APC) for the 2023 general election, saying the Christians cannot go on sabbatical for the next four years in the country.
High Chief Collins Corcordia, who made this known in Yenagoa during a call on him by the leadership and members of the Pro-Atiku campaign group known as the Door2Door Grassroot Christian Campaign team, said sucj combination in a multi religious state like Nigeria is against the idea which led to the building of both Christian Chapel and a Mosque in the Aso rock which allowed every faith to engage in the worship of God.
Corcodia said the idea of Muslim-Muslim Presidential ticket is to send the Christians on a sabbatical for the next Four years,”the idea of a Muslim-Muslim ticket of the APC is unacceptable. Such a combination in a multi religious state like Nigeria is unacceptable and against the idea of building both a Chapel and a Mosque in the Aso rock.”
“The Muslim-Christian ticket allowes every faith to engage in the fair and balanced worship of God. The APC should not expect Christians to go on sabbatical for four years.”
Corcodia also described Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar as a marketable brand that will be sold without, stressing the APC as a party that is not resting on achievement but illusionary claims of having a Presidential and Vice Presidential Candidates who performed as Governor.
He described such claims as lacking substance and urged the group to work assiduously to see to the success of ATIKU and PDP in all elections with the group spreading to all units.
Earlier, the State Coordinator of the Door2Door Grassroot Christian Campaign group, Hon. Richard Otodo, intimated the Special Adviser that the aim of the group is to galvanise support for Atiku and all Candidates of the PDP in the State and National Assembly elections take place in 2023.
He posited that the group was poised to capture all polling units in the State for the PDP. He thereby solicited for the support of the Prosperity government and pointed out that the group will also support the 2nd term ambition of the State Governor, Sen. Douye Diri.
