Senator Dafinone Celebrates Coronation, 71st Birthday of New Owhorode of Olomu Kingdom
Senator Ede Dafinone, representing Delta Central Senatorial District, has extended warm congratulations to His Royal Majesty, Albert Akpomudje, SAN, on his coronation as the 14th Owhorode of Olomu Kingdom, which coincided with the monarch’s 71st birthday.
Describing the dual celebration as a “divine moment of grace and renewal” for the Olomu Kingdom, Senator Dafinone praised the newly crowned Owhorode for his distinguished career and contributions to national development.
He noted that Akpomudje’s rise in the legal profession, particularly as a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, embodies integrity, discipline, and excellence.
According to the senator, these qualities will play a vital role as the monarch assumes the sacred responsibility of preserving the traditions, unity, and destiny of the Olomu people.
He commended the new Owhorode for his longstanding commitment to Urhobo unity, describing him as a bridge-builder, voice of reason, and beacon of selfless service.
“Your wealth of experience in community leadership assures us that your reign will bring renewed harmony, purposeful development, and pride to Olomu Kingdom,” Dafinone said.
As the Olomu Kingdom celebrates both the coronation and the monarch’s birthday, Senator Dafinone offered prayers for continued divine wisdom, good health, and longevity for His Royal Majesty.
He reaffirmed the support of the Urhobo Nation, expressing confidence that the new reign will usher in peace, progress, and prosperity.
“Long live the Owhorode of Olomu Kingdom, long live Olomu Kingdom, and long live the Urhobo Nation,” the statement noted.
