As the 10th senate of the National Assembly resumed sitting this week after a month long – month statutory break, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Emmanuel Afam Eboh, says Senator Ned Nwoko has exceeded the expectations of the people of Delta North Senatorial District who elected him senator two years ago.

Speaking to journalists in Abuja while assessing the performance of Senator Nwoko so far, Chief Eboh said Delta North had witnessed outstanding legislative impact, unprecedented in history, since July 2023 when the senator assumed office.

Chief Eboh noted that Nwoko had “distinguished himself as a credible and result – oriented Senator respected among his peers and honoured far and wide.”

The APC stalwart recalled that the Delta North federal legislator was recently ranked “the best performing Senator in Nigeria” by multiple Peer Review authorities across the country.

According to Eboh: “the entire populace in Delta North are happy with Senator Ned Nwoko for serving them faithfully” in his legislative duties as well as provision of basic social amenities.

“The primary duty of a Senator by the letters of the Nigerian constitution is to make laws for the good governance of Nigeria. Distinguished Senator Ned Nwoko leads among his colleagues in making the highest number of significant bills and motions on the floor of the Senate.

“We have seen his advocacy on critical issues of national interest in the areas of economy, education, electoral reforms, agriculture, peace and security, measures against oil theft and so on.

“Today Senator Nwoko champions the agitation for the creation of Anioma state. We all acknowledge his efforts as the boldest since the demand began over 70 years ago by our forefathers.

“He has also performed exceptionally well in meeting the needs of his constituents, beyond his core legislative mandate.

“A number of access roads, water facilities and solar lights have been provided across Delta North communities through Nwoko’s influence.

“There are other interventions like the two billion Naira fund he attracted recently for upgrade of facilities at Federal College of Education Asaba and the medical university at kwale area.

“He has collaborated with the federal government towards ensuring the construction of a massive 30 billion Naira Oko/Aboh/Patani coastal road.

“Over 2000 youths and women have been empowered with skill acquisition programmes. Senator Nwoko’s accomplishments in Delta North are huge and commendable. The people acknowledge his excellent job so far.

“Distinguished Senator Ned Nwoko is a blessing to Delta North. He is also a patriot of national reckoning. We must continue to support him to bring more dividends of democracy to our people,” Eboh noted.
