Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North Senatorial District in the National Assembly, has marked three years in the 10th Senate by highlighting key legislative achievements, constituency development projects, and people-focused interventions delivered during his tenure.

In a statement commemorating the milestone, the senator expressed gratitude to the people of Delta North for entrusting him with the responsibility of representing them in the Senate, noting that his administration has remained committed to effective representation, legislative excellence, and sustainable development.

According to Nwoko, his office has sponsored 33 bills and 22 motions over the past three years, focusing on critical national issues while advancing the interests of the Delta North Senatorial District.

Among the notable legislative initiatives championed by the senator are the Constitutional Alteration Bill seeking the creation of Anioma State, the restoration of Aniocha North Constituency II into the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) programme for the 2027 elections, and the proposed upgrade of the Federal College of Education (Technical), Asaba, to the Federal University of Technology, Asaba.

The lawmaker also highlighted his efforts in the health sector, particularly the Malaria Eradication and Vaccine Development legislation, which he said has successfully passed into law and is expected to strengthen Nigeria’s fight against one of the country’s most persistent public health challenges.

Beyond legislative activities, Senator Nwoko emphasized his commitment to grassroots development through a range of constituency intervention programmes.

These include educational support initiatives, scholarship schemes, healthcare interventions, human capital development projects, youth and women empowerment programmes, as well as the installation of solar-powered streetlights across communities in Delta North.

Reflecting on his performance in office, the senator stated that public service should be measured by tangible results rather than promises, adding that while significant progress has been recorded, more work remains to be done.

“While much has been achieved, I remain conscious of the work that still lies ahead and committed to pursuing it with diligence, courage, and purpose,” he said.

Nwoko further thanked the people of Delta North for their continued support, trust, and partnership throughout his tenure, describing the achievements recorded so far as a collective success.

“The progress we celebrate today belongs to all of us,” he stated, reaffirming his commitment to delivering more dividends of democracy to the people of the district.
