Two members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) have died in a ghastly motor accident along Nara/Ugbawka Road, Nkanu East Local Government Area of Enugu State.
NYSC Director of Press and Public Relations, Mr Eddy Megwa, confirmed the incident on Thursday through a statement titled: “NYSC LOSES TWO CORPS MEMBERS,” which was published on the the Corps’ official Facebook and Twitter pages.
The Director-General, National Youth Service Corps, Brigadier General YD Ahmed; and the management of the Scheme regret to announce the death of two corps members serving in Cross River State: Udemagwuna Adaeze Onyinyechukwu with State Code Number CR/23A/1450, serving at 304 Mobility Group, Airforce Base, Calabar; and Okwuowulu Giveth Nzubechukwu, CR/23A/1390 serving at Cross River State House of Assembly, Calabar.
The Corps Members met their deaths in a ghastly motor accident that occurred along Nara/Ugbawka Road, Nkanu East Local Government Area of Enugu State, on their way to Calabar.
The National Youth Service Corps is saddened over the losses, which have left the Scheme highly devastated.
Management conveys deepest condolences to the families of the fallen heroes, as well as the Governments and people of Enugu and Cross River States over the sad incident.
Meanwhile, the management of the scheme is in constant contact with the families of the deceased corps members.
