A young girl Miss Irene Akabi has mysteriously died of a snake bite few days after her fiance gave her the money budgeted for their traditional marriage to put in her bank account.
An eye witness told Emerald News that the late girl was from Anambra State while her fiance, Mr. Elue Ogayi is from Delta State.
Emerald News gathered that the plan for their traditional marriage was in top gear which made the man to release the sum of N400.000 for his fiancee to save in her account so as to enable them list out the items they needed for the marriage.
Our source said that the man decided to give his wife to be the money to save in her bank account because he was having a building project in Asaba which he never wanted to mix up the money so that the building project will not be an obstacle to his marriage plans.
Emerald News gathered that the day Miss Akabi collected the money from her fiance and put in the bank, a black snake appeared in her dream and bit her.
A source close to the family said that she suddenly woke up and saw the particular spot she had the snake bite gushing out water with an excruciating pain.
Our source said that she was rushed to the hospital where she died some weeks later.
Our source said before her death, one third of the traditional marriage money she kept in the bank has been spent.
The tragedy kept the young man frustrated. While some people said that the girl was killed by her village evil people who don’t want her to marry, others were of the opinion that it was the girl’s spirit husband that killed her out of jealousy because she wanted to marry another man.
