A doctor’s handwriting is not just bad but can become unreadable most times. Most people get confused reading the prescription of doctors. No matter how much you try you will be able to read only a few words.
A survey says 7000 people die worldwide due to the fact that they do not understand the prescription of doctors. Again, medical shops do not understand the handwriting of doctors and hence, give wrong drugs.
But some people have given some reasons why doctors handwriting is bad and most times unreadable. One Doctor Arushi Sharma says doctors have to write very fast to save their time. They are always in a hurry. They have to attend to so many patients everyday.
So, long days with tons of writing leads to a very tired hand. The writing gets worse by the end of the day. Furthermore, doctors have to mostly rush from one patient to the other. With so little time, doctors are only concerned with noting down all the information, rather than perfecting their handwriting.
