A retired civil servant, one Mr. Lucas Uwaya, has been thrown out of his house by his wife, Mrs. Dorcas Uwaya.
An eye witness told Emerald News that the couple has lived together in Asaba, Delta state for over 25 years before things got to breaking limits..
Emerald News gathered that Mrs. Uwaya who was a pretty trader has not been happy over the inability of her husband to perform his responsibility as a man at home.
Our source said that Mrs. Uwaya could still bear his husband’s disgusting character until recently when he squandered his gratuity the state government paid him after retiring from one of the agencies in Delta state without the notice of his wife.
An eye witness said that Mrs. Uwaya ran out of patient with her husband when he received his gratuity and travelled out of Asaba so that his wife would not know that he has received his retirement money.
Our correspondent gathered that it was two months after Mr. Uwaya returned from his travel that his wife heard from their family friend that her husband has received his gratuity since two months.
According to our source, when Mrs. Uwaya asked her husband, he agreed that he has got his gratuity but told his wife that he didn’t know how the money got finished.
Emerald News learnt that the woman cried bitterly flashing back how her husband would leave all the bills such as house rent, electricity bills, feeding as well as their children’s school fees for her to settle right from their early marriage until now.
Our source said that Mrs. Uwaya got angry and threw her husband’s belongings out. Available reports say people living around them blamed Mrs, Uwaya for throwing away her husband’s belongings, she said that she had borne a lot of trash from him.
She added that she preferred to live with her three children alone while her husband should go and meet the woman he spent his gratuity with anywhere in the world.
Mrs. Uwaya noted that after all, her husband has not been able to pay her bride price since they have been living together.
