A Deltan from Delta central who goes by the name Previous Igho Otobomwovo, has given knocks to members of the Delta state house of assembly representing the nine local government areas of the state. The local government areas include Ughelli North, Ughelli South, Udu, Ethiope East, Ethiope West, Sapele, Uvwie and Okpe.
The attack is coming on the heels of the bill forwarded to state house of assembly by the governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, for the upgrade of three existing higher institutions to independent universities. The institutions are College of Education, Agbor to University of Education, Delta poly, Ozoro to Delta state university of science and technology while DELSU Anwai campus to be University of Agriculture.
However, the bill sent to the house is generating heat on the social media as critics of the decision are pointing accusing finger at marginalisation of the Delta central senatorial District of the state.
In a comment made on Facebook by Precious Igho, she is of the thinking that the non-inclusion of any of the institutions in Delta central to the upgrade was a failure on the part of members of the state house of assembly from the Urhobo land.

Three new universities should have been evenly distributed across the three senatorial districts of the state.
When Ibori built polytechnics, it was an even spread across the three districts. Ozoro (South), Otefe (Central) Ogwashiukwu (North).
This goes to show the calculated agenda of the Okowa administration to relegate the central district of the state to the shadows.
As for the house of Assembly, I doubt if we have representatives there. They are all yes men, including the two opposition party members who come from the Central district.
And we keep saying Delta is one. How exactly?
