As Nigerians await the final result of the 2023 general presidential elections ,on Tuesday morning, a video which made rounds in Social media showed young people protesting as they were seen shouting on top of their voices “Obi, Obi”.
“This is happening live in Asaba (Delta State capital) now. Obi must be the president of Nigeria whether they like it or not. Our votes now”, a voice behind the video said.
In the video, as seen on Tuesday morning, hundreds of youths are chanting the name of the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi.
According to Peter Obi Grassroots Mobilisation, “The Asaba youths are protesting right now demanding that INEC should do the right (thing) and stop the ongoing rigging.”
Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress, APC; Peter Obi of Labour Party, LP; Atiku Abubakar of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, are the top contenders in this presidential election.
