Why MLJ is Nigeria’s oil and gas brand – Award organisers

The MLJ Marine Oil and Gas Limited has said it’s recent recognition as the best oil and gas brand in Nigeria is a testament of the positive impact it has made in the lives of the people in host communities.

The company was awarded as the best oil and gas brand in the country by a group of young professionals in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Organisers of the award said the choice of MLJ Marine was to appreciate the company for always carrying the host community along, and for making impact in our society.

They said members of the host communities in the company’s area of operation have benefitted from its magnanimity.

Receiving the award, the company’s spokesman, Prayer Pemu who doubles as ECOWAS Youth Council Ambassador, appreciated the organisers, saying that the sacrifices to uplift the standard of the people of it’s host communities, have not gone unnoticed.

“Awards like this, is a testament to how far we have come as a brand, and it reminds us of the need to do more in reaching people.

“We are appreciative of the love we have received, and we do not take it for granted,” he said.

Pemu said the company has succeeded in creating jobs for Nigerian youths, through a trainee programme geared at opening opportunities for excellence.

“We have well qualified staffers in our employ. Without the dream of birthing MLJ Marine in 2010, those opportunities would not have been realistic.

“When you have a dream pursue it. People will come to benefit from the realization of that dream, while you make profits from their efforts.

“The MLJ Marine dream started with our boss, but today, many have joined to help him achieve that dream.

“We are expanding our oil and gas businesses to different oil producing states, so we can continue to offer opportunities to youths.

“With the expansion to different states, we are sure to have more persons get employed,” Pemu said.
