Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike has offered N50m, automatic employment to James E. Daniel, a physically-challenged PhD graduate.
It was gathered that the student living with a disability recently bagged a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree from the state institution and the governor decided to reward him.
Speaking during the 33rd convocation of the Rivers State University, Port Harcourt on Saturday, December 4, the governor noted that Dr. Daniel’s honour was in recognition of his academic excellence just as being a wellspring of motivation to people living with disabilities.
Wike proceeded to caution all Rivers State-owned universities to stop aimless conferment of doctoral certificates on all manner questionable candidates and people of material influence.
