A Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, chieftain in Delta state and Ughelli North chairmanship aspirant, Olorogun Udu Omo Scott, has urged Delta youths to shun cultism and all forms of criminality as the world celebrates 2020 International Youth Day.
Scott, who is a National youth Ambassador, Special Assistant to the Vice President National Youth council South South on Diaspora Affairs made this known in Ughelli on Tuesday.
He noted that cultism is dangerous to humanity and should not be supported by the youths in any guise.
While condemning cultism, Scott encouraged youths to be agents of peace in their communities across the state.
He said; “Cultism among our youths has affected developmental strides in our communities and we all must rise up and fight against cultism. We must not give place to it neither should we allow it in any form.
“we celebrate 2020 International Youth Day, we must remind our youths the need to support humanity by embracing peace at all times.
“The future is bright if only we stop supporting cultism and any form of criminality in our society
“Cultism doesn’t make anyone strong , peace does.”.
