The Youth Structure for Asiwaju (YS4A) has lauded the successful conduct of the 8th National Convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC), describing it as a major milestone in the party’s journey toward deeper democratic consolidation and institutional maturity.
In a statement issued by its Convener and National Coordinator, Dr. Michael Nwoko, the youth group praised the emergence of a new National Working Committee (NWC) through what it called a consensus-driven and orderly process, noting that the development reflects the APC’s internal cohesion and capacity for disciplined leadership transition.
YS4A specifically congratulated the National Chairman, Nentawe Yilwatda, on the renewal of his mandate, describing it as both a vote of confidence and a call to higher responsibility at a critical moment for the party and the country.
According to the group, Yilwatda’s continued leadership underscores the trust placed in his judgment and his ability to provide steady direction for the ruling party. It expressed optimism that his tenure would further strengthen the APC’s institutional framework and political relevance.
The group also extended its commendation to the National Secretary, Ajibola Basiru, and other members of the newly constituted NWC, acknowledging the significant expectations resting on their shoulders as they take on the responsibility of steering the party forward.
YS4A noted that the inclusion of experienced and capable individuals from across the country’s geopolitical zones signals a deliberate effort to ensure balance, competence, and grassroots connectivity within the party’s leadership structure.
The youth organization expressed confidence that the new leadership team would enhance the APC’s electoral prospects while promoting policy coherence and responsiveness to the needs of Nigerians.
Reaffirming its support, YS4A pledged to continue mobilizing young people in alignment with the party’s vision, while urging the new NWC to lead with clarity, inclusiveness, and a firm commitment to good governance.
The group wished the new leadership wisdom, strength, and success as they guide the APC into its next phase of growth and national impact.
