2023: Delta North senatorial candidate reveals why Nigerians are moving massively to Labour Party

Labour Party candidate for Delta North senatorial election, Barrister Kennedy Kanma has said that the primary concern of Labour Party is to create better life for all Nigerians irrespective of their ethnicity, religion or political affiliation.

Barrister Kanma said there are many things happening in Nigeria that people are not comfortable with, hence the mass exodus to the Labour Party which Nigerians have seen as the hope of the average, less privileged, disadvantaged and the mass of Nigerian people.

Barrister Kanma who is a lawyer and estate developer, made the observations during the commissioning of the new Aniocha South Labour Party secretariat in Ogwashi Uku, Delta state.

He told the people who gathered at the party secretariat that the logo of the party epitomises what the party represents, noting that the Labour Party is interested in the welfare of father, mother and child, hence it is all about creating opportunity for families and homes to be happy.

He observed that the two dominant parties have inflicted pains on Nigerians with promises being made but never coming to fruition. In the next general election, the Delta North senatorial candidate said Nigerians are seeking alternatives in the Labour Party.

According to him, while members of the failed parties are looking for structures, families are busy enjoying better life across all the geographical zones in the country. The Delta North senatorial hopeful said Labour Party will transform living condition of Nigerians and wipe tears away from their eyes.

He said: “I, Kennedy Kanma, who want to represent us at the senate, can tell you a lot of things the country needs. So many things have gone wrong for too long and we cannot continue to keep quiet. We cannot ignore them any longer.

“These things are affecting the livelihood of our people. We talk about insecurity in Nigeria. Every time you see people getting interested in structures but not interested in the welfare of the people of Nigeria. That is what Labour Party wants to correct. We want to ensure that lives of our people are protected.

“Labour Party is very much interested in the security of lives of Nigerians. Ordinarily, security is the primary function of government. This ought not to be negotiated. But we see that government has abandoned this primary function, hence people are moving to Labour Party in droves. They see the party as the hope of Nigerians.”

Kanma also said the ruling parties have made hunger the national anthem of the average Nigerian. He noted that the sitting government has created poverty to torment Nigerian people. He said in a country that is blessed with so much resources, people are suffering from extreme poverty and hunger.

He said this is not what Nigerians bargained for when they collectively voted for the two parties that are ruling at the state and national levels. He said they promised prosperity and abundant life for all, but unfortunately, a larger chunk of Nigerians are hungry and living beggarly lives.

He said this is why Nigeria is referred to as the poverty capital of the world. Hence, people are now saying enough is enough. And as part of strategies to pull out of poverty and hunger, Nigerians are now flocking massively into Labour Party across the country.

He added that Nigerians have seen Labour Party as the only future of this country. He insisted that the party is on a rescue mission and is set to provide jobs for all Nigerians. He therefore called on all Nigerians to vote massively for Labour Party in all elections, from presidency to senate to governors, house of representatives and state house of assembly.
