Prince Ned Nwoko, the chancellor of Sports University, Idumuje Ugboko, and the Delta North People’s Democratic Party (PDP) senatorial candidate, has stated that, governance is about the people and not just about the party.
Nwoko made the statement on Sunday, 18 December, 2022, in his country home in Idumuje Ugboko, while fielding questions, during a meeting with cross section of groups that came to pledge support for him.
The leading senatorial candidate said that, party, to him is just a platform, and that him winning the senatorial election would be an opportunity for him to transform lives and attract developments to the senatorial district, not an opportunity to serve the interest of a particular political party.
He, however, maintained that he is PDP faithful, but he will not make a distinction between APC, PDP, ADC, or any other party while in office. Nwoko stressed that, all the bills he has championed, and the ones he intends to pass, are all for the people and about the people, not for the party.
He added, “The only reason I want PDP to occupy the five political offices, is because, most of the works I will do as a senator, would be carried out by these different offices.
“It would be easier for me to access a PDP member, than a person from another party. So, for my sake, please support all PDP candidates.”
