Senator Ned Nwoko representing Delta North Senatorial District and Chairman of the Senate Committee on Reparations and Repatriation, has emphatically declared his support for the re-election of President Bola Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori ahead of the 2027 general elections, expressing confidence that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is poised for a sweeping victory.

The senator made the declaration on Sunday while hosting party supporters drawn from the nine local government areas of Delta North at an interactive session in his ancestral home, Idumuje-Ugboko, in Aniocha North Local Government Area.

Addressing the gathering, Nwoko left no ambiguity about the party’s political direction in the district.

“We are at a defining electoral moment, and in Delta North, our choices are clear,” he said.

“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, remains our candidate for re-election. Governor Sheriff Oborevwori is our choice for governorship, and I have formally declared my intention to return to the Senate to continue the mandate entrusted to me by our people. I have served Delta North diligently and remain committed to achieving even greater milestones.”

He further commended President Tinubu’s leadership, attributing growing national stability and measurable socio-economic progress to the administration’s policies. According to him, the President has demonstrated responsiveness and genuine commitment to good governance across Nigeria’s diverse regions.

“There is hardly any part of the country untouched by the President’s interventions. In Delta North, we are witnessing tangible infrastructure development, from the ongoing Onicha-Ugbo–Idumuje-Ugboko road project to the rehabilitation of the Asaba–Onitsha Expressway, and the construction of the access road to the Second Niger Bridge near the airport among others. In addition, numerous street lighting and water projects across the senatorial district reflect strategic collaboration between my office and the Federal Government.”

Turning to state leadership, the senator also lauded Governor Oborevwori’s performance, particularly in infrastructure delivery and human capital development.”Our continued support for the governor is both recognition and encouragement, to consolidate on the gains and do even more for our people,” he said.

Senator Nwoko further spoke on what he described as a strategic political alignment in Delta North. “Anioma has embraced the Tinubu–Oborevwori–Nwoko governance partnership because of the stability and progress it represents. From this moment forward, we will articulate and defend this position with firm resolve”

Since his inauguration into the 10th Senate in 2023, Senator Nwoko has garnered widespread goodwill for his assertive legislative advocacy and grassroots-driven initiatives aimed at improving livelihoods across Delta North, popularly known as Anioma.
