Reports reaching our are indicating that police allegedly acting under the instruction of the inspector general of police are insisting Governor Nyesom Wike leave Benin City prior to Saturday’s election. But Wike is insisting he cannot leave the Edo state capital.

Read some reasons why it is not possible to send him out of the city as hastily as such

  1. Hee is the national chairman of PDP campaign council in Edo state. He needs to supervise his people as they go about voting on Saturday.
  2. The Campaign chairman of APC is Edo state, that is Governor Abdullahi Ganduje and even the governor of Imo state is also said to be in Benin. So, what wrong if Wike is there when his fellow governors are there.
  3. Again, there has been no proof that will cause violence in the state. He only advised his people to make sure they win the election. That is normal of a leader. No leader will want his people to fail in any assignment.
  4. Also, anybody can travel to any part of the nation. Ordering him out of Benin is unconstitutional.
