The jubilant governor polled an impressive 421 votes at his home unit, sparking wild celebrations among supporters who had gathered to witness the results announcement.
Candidates Express Optimism Amid Tight Race
While Adeleke’s early victory at his polling unit signals strong momentum, all three major candidates have expressed confidence in securing the ultimate prize:
· Governor Ademola Adeleke (Accord Party) – Voted at Sagba Abogunde Ward 2, Unit 9, Ede North LGA, and declared certainty in his re-election bid.
· Bola Oyebamiji (APC) – Cast his vote at Ward 09, Unit 011, Ikire, Irewole LGA, and remained optimistic about unseating the incumbent.
