Daju in her address also charged them to work together with the health workers and stakeholders as a team.

The ministry’s permanent secretary further urged the new chief medical directors to explore all necessary avenues to provide a conducive work environment and infrastructure aimed at achieving a high standard of health care.

“It may be challenging but there is no challenge that is unsurmountable and your appointment is an indication of the confidence that the federal government reposed in you,” she said.

According to Daju, the ministry will provide necessary support within the available resources to enable the new CMDs meet the hospital standard.
