In Jigawa State House of Assembly,five candidates from the Labour Party (LP)have defected to the All Progressives Congress Party (APC).
This development was unveiled by Aminu Sani Gumel, state chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), while receiving decampees at the party’s headquarters in Dutse.
He congratulated the new members on their decision to join the APC and promised to include them in all party activities.
Gumel also urged the decampees to work hard for the party’s victory in the general election.
Ammaru Kabiru Maigatari Constituency, Isah Garba Roni, Umar Adamu Dutse, Yusif Muhammad Ringim, and Zangina Bala Gagarawa Constituency are among the defectors.
Yusif Muhammad Ringim, speaking on behalf of the defectors, stated that they joined the APC because of its laudable achievements under Governor Badaru.
Previously, eight Labour Party state assembly candidates defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
