The immediate past Minister of State Petroleum and candidate of APC in the last gubernatorial election in Bayelsa state, Chief Timipre Sylva, and some of his cronies have been placed on security watch over alleged plots to compromise Appeal Court judges.
Sources close to Chief Sylva revealed that he has allegedly become so desperate with his appeal at the Court of Appeal and now allegedly chasing after the panel of justices handling the election petition appeal to allegedly bribe them despite his bad case.
Our source said Chief Sylva reportedly told a close ally that he had set aside billions of naira to buy the judges if he gets a good link man.
“I want to win this election in the court. I need people to help me, money is never an issue. As a minister, I made enough money to last me a life time.”
” I just need a link person to those judges. I don’t know why people don’t want to believe that I won the election but the judges can help me”, Sylva reportedly told a political ally.
Our source confirmed that Sylva has been having sleepless nights sneaking into homes of some of his highly placed friends who are merely going to “chop” his money.
“Our boss, Sylva no longer sleeps at night. He is looking for help everywhere. Though, he has been meeting brick wall but you know how politicians behave.”
“Sylva believes something can still happen with the available cash to settle anyone who can help him. But some of his friends have advised him to stop the wild-goose chase and that it is very difficult to upturn the Diri’s victory”, our source said.
