A minor cabinet reshuffle has seen all advisers to the Kwara State Governor, including the Deputy Chief of Staff and the Principal Private Secretary, relieved of their appointments.
The decision was announced in a statement issued on Monday by the Deputy Chief Press Secretary to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, Mashood Agboola.
According to the statement, the governor approved the reshuffle, which affects all Special Advisers, Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, and Special Assistants serving in his administration.
The government said the move is aimed at creating opportunities for more members of the ruling party to serve while injecting fresh energy into the administration.
Also affected by the exercise are the Deputy Chief of Staff and the Principal Private Secretary to the Governor.
Governor AbdulRazaq thanked the affected appointees for their dedicated service to the state and wished them success in their future endeavours.
He also directed all those affected to hand over government property in their possession to the Office of the Secretary to the State Government.
