Vice president for the Defence of Human Right, Prince Kehinde Taiga, has felicitated with Barrister Peter Mrakpor, who was recently conferred as Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).
In a statement made to felicitate with Mrakpor, Taiga said:”I want to rejoice and felicitate with the Honourable Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General of Delta State Barrister Peter Mrakpor for a well deserved honour as the Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) as bestowed by the Privileges Committee of the Body of Benchers.
“This award is a reflection that there is still high hope in our society where men of honourable character and integrity are recognized with award of highest honour.
“Barr Mrakpor has always been an unrepentant supporter and promoter of the defence for human rights, particularly during my days as the Delta State Branch Chairman of CDHR. He was such a great ally and trusted partner in the pursuit of freedom for the oppressed and the countless release of suspects that have been illegally remanded.
“Barr Peter Mrakpor (SAN) is the type of legal personality that I believe got this honour not by political will but on merit, and I believe this will spur him to do greater works professionally and to the service and betterment of humanity. I celebrate you today Barr Peter Mrakpo (SAN).”
