A rainbow coalition of the Niger Delta ex-militants under the aegis of the National Coalition of Niger Delta Ex-Agitators, NCNDE-A has welcomed the Nigeria’s President-Elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, back home after his holidays in Europe.
The leader of the Coalition, Eshanekpe Israel a.k.a Akpodoro in a chat with our correspondent on Monday said, memebers of the Coalition are happy to welcome the newly elected president back home and also seeing him in superlative health adding that President Tinubu’s holiday in Europe was overdue owing to the rigour of campaigns preceding the keenly contested February 25, 2023 presidential election.
Eshanakpe who doubles as the Mayor of Urhoboland said Nigerians are happy to see their president elect return to take the mantle of the country’s leadership following the overwhelming mandate of the Nigerian people given to him as he warned Tinubu to be wary of traitors within his All Progressives Congress, APC fold whom he noted never wanted him to be president.
Pointedly, the Gbaregolor, Ughelli South Local Government Area-born Mayor Akpodoro said the President-elect should be careful with a Senator from South-South geopolitical zone who was recently defeated at the polls.
He said the senator is a double agent whose political activities negate the spirit and philosophy of liberal politics as represented by Tinubu adding that people like the Senator are fair weather friends.
In view of the morbid rumours by the opposition elements against the newly elected president concerning his health, Mayor Akpodoro said the Nigerian masses had genuinely gone into prayer sessions to “pray back the President-Elect into the country in good health”.
He said election losers won’t stop mourning their defeat at the 2023 presidential polls, a feature he noted characterises an average politician in “our clime.”
He called on the trio of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP; his Labour Party LP counterpart, Peter Obi and Ibrahim Kwakwanso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP to, as a matter of integrity and national solidarity, congratulate the President-Elect in the spirit of sportsmanship.
The Mayor wants Atiku to lead the pack in the direction of national reconciliation and solidarity as he advised Atiku to go back to the drawing board against 2027 presidential election, his age notwithstanding.
