The President General of Gbaregolor Federated Communities, Ewu Kingdom, Hon. Maxwell Urhogu, has urgently called on the chairman of Ughelli South Local Government Council and security agencies to intervene and halt the actions of certain individuals who are determined to hold elections for a position that he currently holds.
During a press briefing at his office in Gbaregolor, Urhogu emphasized that this plan will undoubtedly lead to a breach of peace in the community, as he was duly elected and sworn in as the President General of Gbaregolor Federated Communities.
He expressed deep concern over the potential destabilizing effects of this parallel election, stressing the need for immediate intervention to prevent a crisis in the community.
Urhogu emphasized that the plan to impose a parallel executive on the people of Gbaregolor Federated Communities is a carefully orchestrated move by his opponents, who were defeated in the elections several months ago.
He emphasized the importance of the Ughelli South Local Government Council chairman, Chief Dr. Richard Kofi, as well as the Nigeria Police, the Nigerian Army, and the DSS to take decisive action to prevent this threat to the community’s stability.
The situation has sparked tension within Gbaregolor, leading residents to express fears of potential conflict and division.
Urhogu has reaffirmed his commitment to upholding the democratic process and has called for a peaceful resolution to this troubling development.
In response to the escalating concerns, local community leaders and concerned citizens have united to seek a path towards reconciliation and unity.
Efforts are currently underway to engage all stakeholders in constructive dialogue aimed at averting the impending crisis and preserving the harmony of the Gbaregolor Federated Communities.
The community is hopeful that, through collective action and dialogue, a resolution can be reached that will uphold the integrity of their democratic processes and maintain peace and stability.
