On Thursday, the Nigerian Army announced that it discovered decomposing bodies of kidnapped and murdered victims discovered in a well

This was revealed in a statement by the Director, Army Public Relations, Brig.-Gen. Onyema Nwachukwu.

The statement reveals that during the operation, the troops raided the hideouts of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra and its militant wing, Eastern Security Network in Anambra and Imo states.

It also revealed that the army discovered decomposing remains of kidnapped and murdered victims dumped in a deep well by members of the irredentist groups during the operations.

One of the hoodlums was neutralised, while three suspects were arrested and several weapons recovered.

The Nigerian army added that the troops caught an IPOB/ESN syndicate that disrupted Wednesday’s local government election in Enugu State.
