Dr. Michael Nwoko, former senior special assistant on health monitoring to erstwhile Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, has congratulated Senator Ned Nwoko on his resounding victory at the Court of Appeal in Lagos.

The two appeals were filed by former Senator Peter Nwaoboshi of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Barrister Kennedy Kanma of the Labour Party. Appeals by both APC’s Nwaoboshi and Labour Party’s Kanma were both dismissed at the Lagos division of the Appeal Court on Wednesday.

At the Appeal Court in Lagos, the judges dismissed the petitions for lacking sufficient evidence to upturn the victory of Senator Ned Nwoko. Consequently the Appeal Court affirmed the decision of the tribunal which earlier dismissed the petition of Kennedy Kanma and Peter Nwaoboshi.

In a congratulatory message, Dr. Michael Nwoko, popularly known and addressed by admirers as The Political Oshobe, said the judgment of the Appeal Court which brings to end the senatorial litigation was an affirmation of the mandate given to Ned Nwoko by the good people of Delta North on February 25, 2023.

According to him, Senator Nwoko was duly elected by the people of Delta North across the nine local government areas of the senatorial district. He established the fact that Senator Nwoko is loved by the people of Delta North and they gave him their votes so as to represent them in the national assembly.

He commended the people of Delta North who stood with the distinguished Senator during the period the case lasted at both the tribunal and the Lagos division of the Appeal Court. He said Nwoko is ready, spirit, soul and body to serve the people of Delta North.

He noted that the distinguished Senator will employ his knowledge and connections to put Delta North on the map of Nigeria away from what has been happening in the previous years in the senate.

Dr. Michael Nwoko believes that Senator Nwoko is the best person well positioned to attend to the needs of the people of the senatorial district, urging the people of the zone to continue in the irsupport for the Senator.

He added that now that the litigations are over and the Senator set to to attend to the needs of Anioma people, he said the people should expect the best and nothing but the best from the Senator.

According to him, Senator Nwoko has all the experience, knowledge and contacts to transform the senatorial district, insisting that what is due to the people of Anioma from the federal government will get to the people.

He therefore called for maximum support from his constituents in all areas so as to speed up the Senator’s projects and programmes for the area.
