The Isoko South security council has taken a stand against the communities of Emede and Igbide, both of which have been on the jugular of each other, killing, maiming and burning buildings in both communities
Reports from both communities show wanton destruction of properties following failure to reach compromise over land issues and boundary delineation.
Arising from the breakdown of law and order in the Isoko South communities, the local government authority has declared a 24-hour indefinite curfew on both communities starting from 6pm Friday December 11, 2020.
The declaration was made as a last resort after an emergency security meeting on the killings, arson, and criminality in Igbide and Emede communities within the last few days.
The local government security council declared the killing, wanton destruction and arson as acts of extreme criminality.
Reports from the security meeting say anybody the curfew would be severely punished according to law as the 24-hour  curfew remains indefinite.
Salaries of the two community monarch’s have been suspended as official communication will be made on the retrieval of monarchs staff of offices to the Delta state government.
Presidents general of both communities have been derecognised following their ignoble roles in the dastardly acts. The president general of Igbide community has been declared wanted.
