The African Church preaching society held its 2022 annual convention at the African Church Grammar School Ekakpamre in Ughelli South and Olorogun Barrister Kenneth Gbagi was invited  to grace the occasion.

The Most Reverend I.A Obie in his message condemned the negligence of Christians towards the electoral process.

He said: “If you don’t have your PVC, you’re an enemy of the church and when you vote don’t vote for party but vote for a candidate who can govern the people well, make sure you vote wisely.

“The time has come for us to know the truth and vote for the truth.

“As the salt of the earth we the African church have to take a stand.

“You cannot stay in your house and pray without going out to cast your vote”.

Addressing the crowd, Gbagi expressed belief in the power of prayers.

He shared the message that has been his campaign mandate till date. Which is the message of liberating Delta state.

He said: “I will never borrow money in Delta state but I’ll repay all the debts Delta is owing”.

He promised to establish limited liability and international standard companies in all  the local government area of the state.

“I will be a very foolish governor if I develop one community at the expense of others, every local government in Delta state has the capacity to make millions of naira.

“And I know how to make it work because I have an entrepreneurial mindset.”

One of the most striking questions asked during the question and session answer was as a  “former member of PDP, will you not bring the same spirit of PDP to play when you become governor?”

Gbagi responded in the negative, stating that even as a member of PDP he was different from the rest because he is not corrupt. And also pointed out the level of private industrial success he has achieved in the state as a private individual.

“The sheer number of youths that I have empowered in the state is proof that I have the entrepreneurial capacity to get our youths out of the streets.”

Barrister Ezekiel Okorode endorsed the candidacy of Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi stating that of all the candidates that are contesting, Gbagi is the most competent, educated and eloquent of all his counterparts.

There was an outpouring of prayers on behalf of Gbagi and his governorship ambition.
