The National Executive Council of Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has appointed Hon. IPMAN national executives also approved the setting up of the Bayelsa state steering committee to be supervised and headed by Hon. The National President of IPMAN, Elder Chinedu Okoronkwo, while inaugurating Hon. Elder Chinedu Okoronkwo pointed out that the appointment of the Bayelsa Chairman of the association and the approval for the setting up of the state steering committee is in line with the mandate given to the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) by President Muhammadu Buhari to checkmate all unwholesome activities in the oil and gas sector of the economy.

According to him, “You are to recommend other key members of the steering committee for appointment and liaise with the national president and the security frameworks in Bayelsa state for proper coordination and synergy for the protection of oil and gas facilities in the state.

According to him, ”Bello Bina is someone that has the experience in the oil and gas sector and we believe that he’s going to deliver on the mandate given to him. What we are urging him is to make sure that all those vandals and people that are also collaborating with anti-Pipeline and all other Unwholesome Activities in the downstream Oil and gas Sector should also be checkmate by itself and others”.
