A whooping sum of N3 million have been placed as rewards for any of the five wards of Isoko south State Constituency that is able to produce the highest number of votes for the bye-election scheduled for Saturday September 11th 2021.

Delta State governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa made the announcement on Tuesday September 7th 2021, during the flag-off campaign at Irri Ward 11 held at Uro-Irri Primary school, in Isoko south local government area of the State.

The governor equally announced the sum of N2 million to be given to the Ward that would come second in the exercise, just as he regretted the death of Kenneth Ogba, member who represented Isoko south State Constituency 1, in the State House if Assembly.

According to the governor, “It is my prayers that no Isoko representatives will die again, may it never happen again in the name of Jesus Christrecalling that Tim Owhefere died in January and was buried.

“I have discovered that we are on ground. There is one party that they call APC, that are flexing muscles when we campaigned in Isoko north but when we started the process of campaign, we didn’t see them again.

“At the end of the election, PDP scored 29, 000 votes while APC scored 2000 votes. Then I asked where are they? Everybody should bring their Permanent Voters Card (PVC). They can’t rig the election because IME. is coming with an accreditation system.

“They will check your thumb print and they will also check your passport whether it is truly you before you can vote. The last time we came to Isoko, it was 5/5. So, this time, we are going to give prize. The youths, men and women should get ready because we want to hear that result.

“This time, it is only five wards, so we will give prize for the first two only out of the five. So, let every ward struggle on who will take the prize.

“The ward that will take the first position, the party chairman had told that they will give the ward N3 million and the second position will get N2 million”

He assured them that the Isoko central road project would be completed in the dry season, just as he requested leaders of Uro-Irri to unanimously come with the name of a youth for appointment into his administration.

He charged them to go and preach the gospel to their family members to come out in their large numbers to cast their votes on Saturday September 11th 2021.

Also speaking, the State party chairman, Olorogun Barr. Kingsley Esiso, expressed optimism that the block votes would be given to PDP in the Saturday September 11th 2021 election.

“Everybody in Irri Ward 11, will come out to vote for PDP

He thanked leaders and members of the party for the good work on ground, saying, “some few days ago, I heard and I saw that some people came to Isoko south to tell you to vote for them and I was angry in my spirit because from the picture that I saw, these are supporters of bandits, herdsmen, rapists, terrorists and worst economy that we have ever experienced in Nigeria.

“I want to tell you that they are jokers. Let me send this message to them that the Peoples’ Democratic Party will win and win very well and there is nothing they can do to change the result because we have human soldiers (men and women) who are capable of defending their votes.

“I want to thank you and appeal to you to come out enmass on Saturday, carry your Voters Card and go to your unit, do not be afraid of anybody, go there and vote and nobody will stop you from voting. I will be in this Constituency on that day, nobody will stop you from voting.

“When you have finished voting, don’t go. Wait and let them count and announce your votes”.

Meanwhile, the governorship aspirant of the party, Olorogun Barr. Kenneth Gbagi, who stormed the campaign ground, stole the show as the Master of Ceremony, recognized his presence severally during the campaigns.
