Bala Mande, the chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Zamfara state, has been suspended by the party, POLITICS NIGERIA reports.
In a statement on Wednesday by Abba Bello, the state’s party publicity secretary, Mande was sanctioned for one month as a result of anti-party activities.
PDP said the activities of the suspended chairman ‘were in clear violation of the various sections of its constitution’.
In a piece of related news, it has emerged that the PDP shifted its scheduled governorship, senatorial, House of Representatives and houses of assembly primaries due to disputes over the final list of delegates and reconciliation efforts.
Furthermore, this news medium learnt that the party is weighing its options in respect of its desire to build consensus among aspirants.
The presidential primary is to hold on May, 28-29, 2022.
