The Delta North People’s Democratic Party (PDP), senatorial candidate, Prince Ned Nwoko, has assured Delta state students new and better Nigeria with PDP.
He made the assurance on Monday, 20 February, 2023, at Denise Osadebe University, Asaba, and Federal College of Education Technical FACOTECH, Asaba, during his visits to the schools, with his celebrity actress wife, Mrs Regina Daniels-Nwoko.
The power couple and their entourage were warmly received by staff and students of both schools visited.
As Nwoko addressed the staff and students of both schools, his message was simple. He urged them to give their 100percent votes to PDP, assuring better governance with the party.
The senatorial candidate, who maintained that his ambition to represent Delta North at the senate is not driven by desperation, but rather, by the desire to see his people experience responsive governance, however, stressed that, not having a PDP president will pose a threat to actualizing his plans for Delta North.
“I will be elected as your senator. As a student in Delta North, your problem automatically becomes my problem, because, it is my obligation to ensure that you get all you need as a student, and that you’re comfortable.
“If someone who is not a PDP member becomes the president, I will be in the Minority. That means, attending to your needs will be very difficult for me, because, I may not be able to persuade the leading party to approve my plans for you.” Nwoko explained, while addressing students at Denise Osadebe University.
“If you want me to be a productive senator, you have to support PDP at all levels, as that would make my work easier.” He added.
The Dean of students affairs, Denise Osadebe University, Dr. Joyce Ogwezi, while formally introducing Nwoko to the students, described him as a nation builder, an educationist, and a philanthropist beyond borders. She recalled that during her service at Delta state University, Abraka, Nwoko donated the sum of N20million to ensure that Mass communication department was fully accredited in the school.
In recognition of Nwoko’s outstanding commitment to education, sports development, and his distinctive role towards malaria eradication in Africa, Denise Osadebe University, honoured Nwoko with a service award.
The senatorial candidate, donated the sum of N50million each, to both schools visited, to support students who also entrepreneurs. He assured the students that he will do more when elected.
“When elected, I will do more, because then, I will have the government backing.” Nwoko assured.
