Senior Special Assistant to Delta state governor on Wealth Creation, Sir Jossy Honnah, has congratulated Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on the Zik prize on leadership for good governance presented to him in Lagos on Sunday, December 6, 2020.
The award was given to the governor by the Public Policy Research and Analysis Centre (PPRAC), organisers of the Zik Prize on leadership award to mark its 25 anniversary.
In a statement on Monday, December 7, Sir Honnah said the award presented to the governor was well deserved for purposeful, visionary, pragmatic and result oriented leadership.
He described Governor Okowa as a classical testimony of leadership par excellence in all developmental indices. He said Okowa is a good example that other governors across the nation should emulate.
He said in all the villages, towns and cities in Delta state, Governor Okowa’s leadership qualities are well manifested in both infrastructure and human capital development.
He said Okowa’s administration has empowered thousands of youths across the state, making them wealth creators and employers of labour in their respective communities.
He added that the governor has developed roads across the three senatorial districts, making movement and transportation easy for all Deltans
Sir Honnah noted that Governor Okowa’s leadership style has transformed Delta communities as evidenced by the road network and others across the state.
Arising from the above, he said the award was a well deserved one as the governor has performed excellently well to qualify for the award.
He said the award will spur the governor to do more for the people of Delta state.
