Protesters on Tuesday dismantled the barricades by the police in Katsina state. There has been rising insecurity in the state.

There has been bandits maiming and killing people in Katsina state. Katsina is the home state of President Muhammadu Buhari.

The youths called for President Buhari to resign following his inability to secure his home state against bandits and kidnappers.

Though it was a peaceful protest, the youths said the security situation in the state is deteriorating, not only in the state but in the entire North West region of the country.

According to the youths, the only option left for them now is for the president to resign since he has no ability to secure the state.

The youths noted the federal government and the Northern governors have failed the region.
