Senator Ede Dafinone has called on Nigerians, particularly Muslims in Delta Central and across the country, to embrace unity, peace, and compassion as they celebrate this year’s Eid-el-Kabir.
In a goodwill message issued to commemorate the Islamic festival, the lawmaker congratulated Muslim faithful and urged them to reflect on the values of faith, sacrifice, obedience, and devotion to God, as exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim.
According to Dafinone, Eid al-Adha provides an opportunity for Nigerians to renew their commitment to virtues that promote peaceful coexistence and national development.
“As we celebrate, I urge us all to embrace the spirit of peace, compassion, generosity, and unity that defines Eid al-Adha,” he said.
“Let us continue to show love to one another, support those in need, and uphold mutual respect regardless of ethnic or religious differences.”
The senator stressed that Nigeria’s progress depends largely on the ability of its citizens to live together harmoniously and work collectively for the common good.
Dafinone also commended the Muslim community in Delta Central for what he described as their enduring contributions to peace, growth, and development in the senatorial district.
He praised their resilience, enterprise, and commitment to peaceful coexistence.
Reaffirming his commitment to inclusive representation, the senator pledged continued support for initiatives aimed at empowering youths, strengthening families, and improving livelihoods across communities in Delta Central.
“At this important moment in our national journey, I encourage all Nigerians to remain hopeful, united, and steadfast,” he stated.
“Though challenges remain, we must continue to support one another and work collectively towards building a safer, stronger, and more prosperous nation.”
He further expressed optimism that with faith, patience, and shared responsibility, the country would overcome its challenges and achieve lasting progress.
The lawmaker concluded by praying for peace, wisdom, and prosperity for Nigeria, while wishing Muslim faithful a joyful and spiritually fulfilling Eid-el-Kabir celebration.
“May Allah accept your prayers, sacrifices, and acts of worship. May He grant peace to our homes, wisdom to our leaders, and enduring prosperity to our nation,” he added.
